Details of our One Day Taster Workshops

Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays or Sundays (Please e-mail to book a space).
Itinerary :
9am - 10.30am: We will start with Health and Safety, Materials and Tools.
Experiment with Tile Cutting and Shaping, Line, Flow and Definition. (only the Direct Method will be covered)
10.30am - 1pm: Start a Small Mosaic such as a Hotpot Stand, Coasters or a Small Mirror.
1pm - 2.30pm: LUNCH - Time to reflect and gather your inspiration.
2.30pm - 4.30pm: Finish Tiling. Grouting and Finishing Methods and Techniques, We shall also look at the effects which can be achieved with Coloured Grout.
4.30pm - 5.30pm: Finish your mosaic with Final Polishing and Finishing Grout Techniques
Mosaics for Children and Families:
All our Mosaic courses are suitable for families and children- it's good, quality, creative time together.
We welcome children aged 9 and upwards.
For lunch we make our own "mosaic pizzas" too!
Parents are asked to attend with their children for the first hour of the course to confirm that their children are mature enough to cope in the studio environment.
• It is recommended that you bring a pair of shoes with covered in toes, a long sleeved sweater and sturdy leg wear (such as jeans) for working in the studio, as pieces of glass/ceramic can sometimes fly off with some force when being cut and shaped.
