MAKE MOSAICS WITH MOSAIC ARTIST ANGIE WESTON.
This is a comprehensive mosaic making course tailored to suit the individual, whether a complete beginner or improver.
All the stunning mosaics shown in these web pages were produced by students who have had no previous experience of mosaic making.
(you will find the makers on the 'Student Gallery' Page with their Finished Mosaics!)
Angie has written two books on mosaic making.
Her latest book takes mosaic making in a new and challenging direction using Mini, Micro and Nano Mosaic Tiles, and explores Mosaic Jewellery Making.

All techniques and materials will be covered and you will take home a
Completed Mosaic Artwork of your Own Choice (see course itinerary for details.)
You are not restricted to making a standard size or shaped mosaic. Your mosaic can be any size and shape and for any application.
You can try 'Glass on Glass' Mosaic, Try Wood or Terracotta Bases, Tables, Trays and Bowls. You can even try Paving Slabs.
The size and weight of your mosaic project is conditional on your transport arrangements (i.e luggage weight restrictions on flights.)
*Angie will advise on transportation methods.

All students have full access to unlimited materials and tools for the duration of their stay.
The studio has a full range of Glass and Ceramic Tiles as well as Millefiori Beads, Coloured Mirror Tiles, Glass Gem Beads, Shells, Mini, Micro
and Nano Mosaic Tiles.
All materials and tools are included; you just need to bring your enthusiasm and inspiration.
Students are asked to prepare a 'Sourcebook' of inspirational images, colours, wallpaper samples, fabrics etc. so that
Angie can help you to plan a mosaic in your own style and design.

All students will be given a series of 'Step by Step' Photos
(taken throughout the course) so that each stage of their personal mosaic making process is recorded. All students will therefore have a reference sheet to refer
back to for help and guidance.
All students will make a set of 'tester' mosaics on which to
experiment with various grout colours before choosing the final grout colour for their artwork.
Courses are usually 3 full days in the studio; but can be extended on request.

By the end of the course participants could set up their own mosaic studio at home.
Angie works from her studio in the french country town of Ribérac in the Dordogne.
Here is a chance to combine a holiday in 'Perigord Vert' with a Practical and Creative Mosaic Course.
You can choose to stay on site and enjoy Full Board Accommodation or come as a Non-Resident Student and choose from a wide variety of accommodation available
here in Ribérac and the surrounding area (see accommodation page.)

If you are holidaying in the Dordogne/Charente or Limousin Regions of France and would like to spend a
day learning the Basics of Mosaic Making why not try our One-Day Workshops.
